Alteon Is Back

by Sensei Email

HeroWell, Nortel is pretty much non-existant now and for all you Alteon users that mourned the day they purchased Alteon Web Systems, you can find solace in the fact that Radware is breathing life back into the product. Instead of sticking it to the acquired user base and forcing users onto a different platform, they've actually continued on, developping the Alteon line. If words like Tigon, Cheetah, 180e and 2424 mean anything to you, then it's time to get excited again.

Follow up:

Where Nortel just occasionally released code and accepted feature requests, Radware is proactively reaching out to the user-base and requesting a prioritized list of desired bells and whistles. In addition to throwing serious software development at it, they've introduced a new hardware line, which blows the doors off the traditional 2424/cheetah product.

Whether you use the product or not, they've put together a pretty impressive website for the launch, with downloadable screen savers and desktop wallpapers. For the official launch website, please check out: http://www.alteonisback.com/
